Nick Leighton is an Emmy award-winning television journalist and producer based in New York.

You may have seen him on Plum TV every summer in the Hamptons anchoring Plum Daily (a live morning show) and producing all of the channel’s event and red carpet coverage. Or maybe you caught him on Plum Nation, a weekly news magazine that was broadcast across the Plum Network.

In April 2011, he won an Emmy for “Outstanding On-Camera Talent” for his event coverage and celebrity interviews.
In April 2012, he won another Emmy for “Outstanding Entertainment Program Feature” for his event coverage and celebrity interviews.
He’s also been nominated for two additional Emmys: As a host in 2012 for “Outstanding On-Camera Talent” and as a host/producer in 2013 for “Outstanding Arts Program.”
Nick grew up in San Francisco and has a degree in Chinese politics from Columbia University, a certificate in French pastry from Tante Marie’s Cooking School, and is a graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade’s improv program and sketch writing program.
Other random fun-facts: He’s vacationed in North Korea, can tell the difference between Helvetica and Arial, is a certified PADI Rescue Diver, has soloed in a Cessna 152 airplane, and kept bees as a kid.
