About Nick

Nick Leighton is an Emmy award-winning television host and producer based in New York. Most recently, he could be found on Plum TV every summer in the Hamptons anchoring Plum Daily (a live morning show) and producing all of the channel’s event and red carpet coverage. The rest of the year, he was the host of Plum Nation, a weekly news magazine that was broadcast across the Plum Network. Click here to watch a few of his favorite segments.

In April 2011, he won an Emmy for “Outstanding On-Camera Talent” for his event coverage and celebrity interviews.

In April 2012, he won another Emmy for “Outstanding Entertainment Program Feature” for his event coverage and celebrity interviews.

Nick grew up in San Francisco and has a degree in Chinese politics from Columbia University, a certificate in French pastry from Tante Marie’s Cooking School, and is a graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade’s improv program.

Other random fun-facts: He can tell the difference between Helvetica and Arial, is a certified PADI Rescue Diver, has soloed in a Cessna 152 airplane, and kept bees as a kid.
